Homologation

There are two parallel systems in Europe for homologation of motor vehicles and their parts.

The “E” mark is based on the regulation of the United Nations Organization. This organization is part of the United Nations and EU and many others are members.

The “e” mark serves as proof of compliance with the European Union directive. “E” mark is, therefore, more widespread and is one of the legislative conditions for the sale of motor vehicles and parts thereof in countries that are committed to the regulation.

The homologation mark E27 or mark e27 is granted by the Ministry of transport and construction of the Slovak Republic based on tests and documentation from EVPU j.s.c.
